    ⚡ Bulky Item Round-up & Flash Clean-up⚡

    Need to discard of bulky items taking up space? Want to help beautify your community?

    If you answered YES to either of these questions, you are in luck! Join us this Saturday, 8/15 for: The GPIA’s FLASH CLEANUP of Verdugo Village. 8:00 AM to 8:45 meet at the North-east corner of Verdugo and York for the actual clean-up.

    Flash cleanups are quick-and-efficient street cleanups of specific locations in Glassell Park, designed to be completed in 45 minutes. In, Out, Done! In a few focused minutes our energy and efforts create cleaner streets for all. 

    We will have rubber gloves and hand sanitizer. We will maintain social distancing and everyone must wear a mask to participate. Don’t forget to bring your own water and Sun protection.

    If you are not comfortable joining a group clean-up, join us virtually by cleaning in front of your own home. Imagine how much cleaner Glassell Park would be if we all cleaned in front of our homes!

    BULKY ITEM ROUND UP event, with item pick-up available! Please notify us of items you would like to get rid of at your home. To get rid of items, send an e-mail to Jim Kiehl to be put on the pick-up list. Then have your items out in front of your home before *8:00AM on 8-15-20.

    No Electronics, household chemical waste, or tires can be taken. 

    Find any abandoned Bulky items out on the street? Note the location and a description of the items so we can add them to the pick –up list.

    *Pick-up will be between 8am & 11am.*

    Rather drop off your items? There will be 3 bins in Glassell Park to bring your bulky items to:

    1) 4126 Verdugo Road (north of York, east side of street). 

    2) Avenue 33 (between Verdugo Road and Eagle Rock Blvd).

    3) 3361 Portner St. (near Estara).
